Middle TN Grand Championships

The MTWOA Grand Championships have been the driving force behind this charitable initiative since their inception. Originally founded in 1992 by Tennessee Wrestling Hall of Famer Chuck Bean at McGavock High School as a "Best of the Best" varsity tournament, the event has continually evolved to meet the needs of Tennessee wrestling.

Today, the tournament features:

• Girls Championships 
• Freshman Championships 
• Junior Varsity Championships 

The 2025 event welcomed more than 750 wrestlers from across the region, making it one of the premier one-day wrestling events in Tennessee. Every registration, sponsorship, volunteer, and official directly helps place equipment and donations of funds into the hands of programs in need as well as young wrestlers.
